The Road S uses TX22 solid reactive cover, a stronger cover material than the TX16 used in the previous series, The Road. This cover is a new material not used in the previous series and is especially strong against oil.The weight block features an inverted F2 AI core, which greatly improves the pin action. The ball also features a 2000 grit finish with an RG of 2.55 and a Delta RG of 0.050, making it a strong and consistent performer overall.
Impression at the time of pitching
In terms of the actual feel of the pitch, this ball was very strong against oil and could be thrown very consistently without any extra movement. It is particularly easy to control on tight lines and provides solid movement even in situations where a wide line is not necessary. The movement at the back is gentle and does not bend abruptly, making it easy to use; the AI core dramatically improves the pin action, which is very useful when aiming for strikes.I think this ball’s high maneuverability is something that a wide range of players will like.
Difference from Comparison Ball
Comparison with THE ROAD
Compared to the previous “The Road,” the first thing that stands out is the strength of the cover. The previous model, with its hybrid polished finish, had a strong cutting feel at the back and was suited to a wide line taking style, while the new “The Road S” is resistant to oil and starts to bend gently from the front, allowing for a tighter line play. Also, as for pin action, the AI core has clearly improved it, and the probability of strike seems to have increased. The previous model, “The Road,” was a bit slippery on oil and a bit difficult to use, but this has been resolved in this model, making it much easier to handle.

General review
The Road S is especially effective in oily conditions and performs very well in situations where you need to target tight lines. The improved pin action makes it easier to get strikes, and using this ball will contribute greatly to score making. It is an ideal choice for bowlers who want to accurately aim for a tight line, rather than a style of throwing wide. Also, the fact that 300 points were achieved with this ball positions it as a very reliable ball. This is one ball that is expected to be used in the future, especially in sport conditions and difficult lane conditions.
